We covered news of the plans to revive Roth about a month ago. Our own Tony Traina noted that the announcement paid specific link attention to one of Roth's earliest pieces, the C187 – link a Tourbillon watch made for the London retailer Asprey. Well, Tony was onto something. That C187 seems to have been a massive influence on the new link direction of the Roth brand. It also appears that the Daniel Roth revival has an unlikely champion in its corner within the family of LVMH head honcho Bernard Arnault. Jean Arnault – at 24, the youngest of Bernard's sons – appears to be the impetus for the rebirth. He told Nicholas Foulkes, writing for the Financial Times, that he was working on the revival link of the brand in early September of this year, promising that some sort of official announcement – that is, outside of my URL rubbernecking – would come in 2023.
